Our story

A neighborhood practice that grew into a Phoenix institution.

Open Wide Dental is a dental practice in Phoenix devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that result in beautiful, long lasting smiles.

Twenty years on, we still treat every patient the way Dr. Durisek treated his very first: with comprehensive treatment planning, an honest conversation about what's needed (and what isn't), and the gentlest possible touch. Restorative and cosmetic dentistry are the tools; your long-term oral health is the goal.

Should a dental emergency happen, we'll make every effort to see and care for you as soon as possible. That's the part of being a neighborhood dentist we take most seriously.

Massage chairs, art on the walls, and music in every operatory. We're aware that "the dentist" carries weight for a lot of people, and we design around that.

Explain everything, first.

No procedure begins before you understand what we're doing, why it matters, and what the alternative looks like. Patients tell us this is the difference.

Conservative by default.

We recommend the smallest, longest-lasting solution that solves the problem — not the largest one we could justify. That philosophy is why our patients stay for decades.

Same-day for emergencies.

If you're in pain, you shouldn't have to negotiate a calendar. We hold space every day for dental emergencies and we'll see you as soon as possible.

Care anyone can afford.

We accept most major insurance, offer financing, and run our own membership plan with unlimited emergency exams, X-rays, and exclusive treatment discounts.
